Monografia: Reflexions pedagògiques a propòsit d’una pandèmia
Fontán de Bedout, Laura
Abstract
Autonomy, the modern value par excellence, is often understood more broadly than as a synonym for independence. It points to discipline, reason, decision making and coherence. In this article, we highlight its necessarily relational and processual character, features that allow us to ground it in the educational field. This is even more so if we consider the sudden change in school forms that have occurred since the pandemic and in which student autonomy has become essential. In educational terms, this autonomy is understood as autonomous, self-regulated or self-directed learning that is not reduced to the contents and results of learning but to the translation of the educating agent. In this article, we reflect on the educational definition of autonomy, the possible relationships with the autonomous learning of students and the difficulties of taking it as a sudden solution to the absence of presence in schools.
