Abstract
Amerindian perspectivism has emerged as one of the most powerful conceptual elaborations of recent decades. Despite its background in social anthropology and ethnology, various
fields of knowledge are using this way of seeing the world for their own theoretical constructions.
However, in the field of education, at least in Brazil and Argentina, it is a theory that is not among
the reference points from which knowledge is produced in this field. This is striking because its
main proponent is the most widely recognized Brazilian intellectual in contemporary humanities,
Eduardo Batalha Viveiros de Castro (1951). This article aims to bring Amerindian perspectivism
closer to the field of human education.
