Abstract
This article explores the perceptions and reflections of teachers who have led radio experi-ences in the classroom with the aim of determining the educational possibilities of this means of communication in teaching the Catalan language both in primary and secondary education. We examine whether, after the development and broadcasting of a radio programme, the teacher considers that the students have improved in their written and oral expression, and which social skills have been activated. A mixed methodology was used, analysing the qualitative and quantita-tive data from a questionnaire with open and closed questions, and multi-choice questions with Likert-scale answers. The study results show that conducting a radio experiment contributes to improving students’ oral expression. There is also progress in written expression but in a less rele-vant way. In addition, according to the respondents, carrying out a radio experience in the class-room stimulates cooperative work between students and other skills such as improvisation and the ability to solve problems.
