Editorial policyCollection: PEDAGOGIES UB
The Pedagogies UB collection is dedicated to increasing the intellectual understanding of pedagogy in a complex society. With a humanist vocation, it provides a platform for academic papers concerned with contemporary pedagogical thought. The collection is aimed at the wider public interested in pedagogical analysis and reflection related to current social and educational events.
The editorial lines of interest are closely linked to the various knowledge areas of pedagogy, in their diverse academic applications, and offers a critical and prospective look at current situations while also considering pedagogical traditions.
The collection sheds light on pedagogical debate in the broadest sense – from school pedagogy to social pedagogy, from pedagogical thinking to educational policy – and incorporates a global vision of educational phenomena.

Selection process
Original papers are evaluated by experts in the field of pedagogy, in accordance with double-blind peer reviewing, in order to ensure the anonymity of authors and reviewers. Once the evaluation has been made, whether the work has been accepted or rejected, the author will receive a reasoned reply from the editor of the collection or the publisher indicating, if necessary, the possibility of rewriting or reworking the original submitted in order to introduce the changes or remarks sent to him, and also the necessity to adapt the text to the collection’s editorial criteria. Where appropriate, the author may re-submit the original, which will be assessed again.
In the event of the work being accepted, the publisher will contact the author to formalize the publishing contract and, once it has been scheduled with the editors of the collection, inform him/her/them of the planned publication date.
Process of publishing originals
Once the original has been accepted and the author has been notified of the decision, the publishing house sets in motion the process of editing and producing the work, of which a copy editor takes charge in coordination with the editors of the collection and the author. The editor informs authors of the different stages that will be followed, as well as the execution times, so that they can plan the revisions that will have to be made by them.
Copyright warning

Each case is studied with the editor of the collection and, prior to the formalization of the publishing contract, the author is informed of the most suitable licence. Self-archiving of preprint copies is permitted, subject to prior notice to collection management and the publisher. The full collection is available as Open Access, with an embargo period of one year, in the University of Barcelona Digital Repository and in the Directory of Open Access Books.
