Abstract
In this work, the nature of scientific knowledge and its main differentiating elements from humanities are explored. Within scientific knowledge, some epistemological peculiarities of biology as a science are pointed out. Furthermore, some biological problems are outlined that are, in turn, philosophical problems and therefore, pedagogical problems. Finally, a schematic bibliographic apparatus is provided to facilitate the expansion of the contents discussed.
