Personal Digital Narratives are short personal stories, told in the first person and using digital media. They are used in formal and socio-educational settings as an activity for their educational potential. In this article we present a qualitative research that aims to describe and understand the topics of these stories (N=96) produced in two courses of a first-year subject of the Social Education degree at the University of Barcelona, identifying the main topics, the relationships between them and their relationship with the existing literature. The results have allowed us to identify that the most frequent topics derive from the family sphere, as well as overcoming-recovery processes, which are situated stories. All the topics identified are in line with the existing literature except for two emerging new topics: «Identity» and «Reflection». In conclusion, an updated taxonomy of topics and their connections is obtained, helping to configure personal digital narratives as a genre of its own.
