MONOGRAFIA: FORMEM MESTRES TRILINGÜES PER A UNA SOCIETAT COSMOPOLITA: EL PROJECTE GUIDEWAY

Abstract
This paper describes the structure of the programme in Physical Education (PE) that is offered as part of the Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education – University Teaching in English (GEP-DUA). The paper presents the contributions of PE to the CLIL approach and to teacher education and it describes the organization of the PE subject area in primary education within the GEP-DUA. It also specifies the teaching/learning strategies that are used, the supports that are provided to facilitate learning in an environment oriented to ICLHE (Integrating Content and Language in Higher Education), and the type of guidance that is used to improve discourse competence. Lastly, evidence of improvement is provided based on preliminary data from a study currently underway. In the conclusion, emphasis is placed on the need for organizational and methodological adaptations to achieve the objectives of the GEP-DUA.
