Monografia. Crisi, vulnerabilitat i nous imaginaris socials
Asun Pié Balaguer
Abstract
The paper is based on the assumption that there is a philosophical and historical error in humans' perception of themselves, which extols the ideals of self-sufficiency and independence. In this regard, the author reflects on human vulnerability, and the concealment, silence and marginalization that surround it, to understand that we need to recover an awareness of our vulnerability. To promote the fundamental importance of basic vulnerability, we must democratize care, a political task related to pain and the body, and we must alter educational practices so that they no longer defend self-sufficiency, but place basic vulnerability as a common asset.
