Abstract
Evaluation is a key aspect in the learning process since it provides relevant information about the skills and knowledge acquired by the students; it also allows monitoring of progress and, if necessary, the reorientation of the process. Over the last few years, the consolidated Group of Teaching Innovation in Pharmaceutical Instrumental Analysis (GIDAIF) has developed new education tools in order to improve the theoretical and practical teaching of Instrumental Techniques (a subject in the Pharmacy Degree). Knowledge acquisition in the field of analytical methods and control of drugs has been improved and the teamwork competence as well as communication skills have been enhanced, which is of great interest to the students vis-à-vis future employment opportunities. The main goal of this work is the evaluation of new teaching tools applied to the Instrumental Techniques subject and their impact on study habits, as well as the suitability of these activities for the credit system of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
