Let’s govern together! The formation of a coalition government

A coalition government means a strengthening of the democratic values: respect for diversity, dialogue, negotiation, integration, trust, understanding, tolerance, solidarity and political civism. Based on a deep analysis of the coalition theories (both formal and multidimensional) and on numerous case studies, Let’s Govern Together! expects to create an organized group of practical instructions that can be used by shared governments in the different negotiation stages. If the negotiation of the coalition government is expected to be successful, it is required to recognize and value the elements that condition that negotiation, but it is also necessary to explore the parties goals and the best government formula to obtain them, applying fair criteria for the distribution of the power areas and stablishing some internal rules of procedure.
